Profile of Mark A. Teehan

Mark A. Teehan received his undergraduate degree from Boston College, graduating cum laude. Mr. Teehan went on to receive his law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1979. Mr. Teehan was admitted as a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association in 1979 and has also been a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 2001.

Mr. Teehan joined Murphy and Beane in 1980 and is currently the managing attorney for the Boston office. Mr. Teehan represents insurers and self-insured employers before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court, New Hampshire Department of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Labor. His areas of practice are Insurance defense, workers’ compensation. Mr. Teehan also participates in arbitrations, mediations regarding workers’ compensation cases.

Mr. Teehan is a member of several associations including Massachusetts Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Subcommittee, Rhode Island Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Subcommittee, American Bar Association and the National Council of Self-Insurers.

Mr. Teehan is a frequent speaker at seminars on workers’ compensation issues relative to Massachusetts, and Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Acts and the Federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.
